About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Finance (Financial Control) – KSA to lead the finance operations for Tabby Financing Company CJSC. This critical role will be instrumental in driving robust financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, and upholding governance standards for our Saudi entity. The Financial Controller will assume ownership of monthly closing processes, statutory and tax filings, SAMA prudential reporting, treasury operations, and external audits, while simultaneously establishing a robust internal controls framework. Additionally, this position will play a central role in Tabby’s ongoing ERP migration to Oracle NetSuite, ensuring that systems and processes adhere to the highest regulatory and audit benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing for the KSA entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness (targeting D+3), and completeness. Maintain strict adherence to IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 9, 15, and 16, as well as SOCPA standards, ZATCA regulations (including CIT, Zakat, VAT, WHT, and CTDF), and SAMA reporting requirements.
  • Treasury and Liquidity Management: Oversee treasury operations, including bank accounts, merchant settlements, mandates, and payment approvals to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
  • Audit and Controls: Manage external audits and deliver audit-ready financial statements with comprehensive documentation. Establish, document, and strengthen internal controls across all finance processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • IFRS 9 and Provisioning: Support provisioning and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations for customer and merchant receivables in alignment with IFRS 9 standards.
  • ERP and System Integration: Drive the ERP re-platforming initiative to Oracle NetSuite, ensuring seamless integrations and adherence to regulatory and audit standards.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit statutory and prudential reports to SAMA, as well as tax filings to ZATCA, with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Intercompany and Transfer Pricing: Manage intercompany transactions and transfer pricing compliance, collaborating closely with the Group Tax team to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, coach, and develop a high-performing local finance team in KSA, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams to ensure finance readiness for new product launches, including wallet services, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), cards, remittance, and loyalty/cashback programs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; SOCPA qualification is mandatory (CPA, ACCA, or CMA qualifications with SOCPA eligibility will also be considered).
  • Experience: 8–12+ years of progressive experience in controllership, statutory reporting, or finance leadership within FinTech, banking, payments, or Big 4 financial services audit firms. Strong expertise in IFRS and local KSA accounting and tax regulations is essential.
  • Regulatory and Audit Expertise: Proven experience in regulatory reporting (SAMA, ZATCA) and managing external audits with a track record of delivering audit-ready financials.
  • ERP and Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, with a preference for Oracle NetSuite; familiarity with e-invoicing platforms such as ClearTax or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to SQL and data analysis is a plus.
  • Leadership and Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both Arabic and English. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Personal Attributes: High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Benefits

  • Flexible Work Model: Enjoy a flexible working arrangement with autonomy and trust from day one.
  • Career Growth: Immerse yourself in a high-growth environment where ownership and responsibility will accelerate your professional development.
  • Employee Stock Options: Participate in the company’s employee stock options program to share in Tabby’s success.
  • Comprehensive Health Insurance: Benefit from robust health insurance coverage.
