Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting Trainer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive technical training programs focused on drafting techniques and standards. Key Responsibilities

The Drafting Trainer will undertake a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the effective delivery of training programs and the professional growth of trainees. These include:

• Training Program Development and Delivery: Design, plan, and execute structured training programs that cover basic, intermediate, and advanced drafting techniques, as well as industry-specific standards. Deliver engaging classroom instruction and practical demonstrations to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
• Training Material Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, training manuals, quizzes, examinations, and other instructional resources. Ensure these materials are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with current industry practices and organizational requirements.
• Performance Assessment and Feedback: Conduct thorough evaluations of trainee performance through written assessments and practical exercises. Provide timely and constructive feedback to trainees, identifying areas for improvement and recommending personalized development plans to enhance their skills and competencies.
• Classroom Management: Monitor trainee attendance, progress, and classroom discipline to maintain a productive and conducive learning environment. Address any behavioral or performance issues promptly and professionally to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of training activities, assessment results, and trainee progress in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Ensure all training initiatives comply with company policies, engineering standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the enhancement of training programs by incorporating feedback from trainees and stakeholders, staying abreast of industry trends, and integrating best practices to support the ongoing development of training curricula.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, an Associate Degree or Two-Year Diploma in Drafting Technology, or a High School/Vocational Diploma in Engineering Drawing or Drafting.
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry for candidates with a degree, or 11 years of experience for those without a degree. Prior exposure to drafting roles within the sector is highly desirable.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent TOEFL score. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage and may enhance communication effectiveness in the workplace.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with hands-on experience in mechanical, civil, structural, or architectural drafting. Familiarity with industry-specific drafting standards and software applications is required.
• Training and Mentoring Experience: Proven experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or delivering technical instruction in a classroom or practical setting. A strong ability to engage learners and foster a collaborative learning environment is critical.
