Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Finance & Accounting to lead the financial operations of our property in the Central Area District, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will serve as the financial steward of the property, driving strategic initiatives that align with the brand’s vision while maximizing profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance & Accounting will play a critical role in shaping the financial trajectory of the property by executing the following responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that enhance profitability, optimize cost structures, and align with the brand’s long-term objectives. Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, cost-saving measures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the creation of comprehensive annual operating budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate and brand directives. Monitor actual performance against projections, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to drive operational improvements.
• Financial Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee internal and external audit processes to uphold financial integrity and transparency.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide visionary leadership to the finance and accounting team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations, mentor team members, and align individual goals with organizational objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and executive leadership, offering strategic financial guidance tailored to the needs of owners, corporate stakeholders, and guests. Communicate complex financial concepts in an accessible manner to influence decision-making and drive desired outcomes.
• Cash Flow Management: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cash flow dynamics to ensure liquidity and support the property’s operational and strategic initiatives. Align financial strategies with the priorities of property owners and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications and possess the following attributes:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and team leadership. Alternatively, candidates with a master’s degree and no prior work experience will be considered for entry-level leadership development opportunities.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting software. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
• Leadership Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams at all levels. Demonstrated integrity, ethical judgment, and a commitment to fostering a culture of accountability.
