Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Finance & Accounting to lead the financial operations of our property in the Central Area District of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will serve as the financial steward of the property, driving strategic initiatives, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring alignment with the brand’s long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of financial expertise, leadership acumen, and operational insight to foster sustainable growth while maintaining rigorous financial controls. Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial and strategic functions, including:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that align with the brand’s service objectives and exceed customer and employee expectations. Champion initiatives that enhance profitability, streamline operations, and drive sustainable growth.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and execute annual operating budgets, conduct detailed financial analyses, and monitor performance against projections. Identify variances, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial outcomes.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of comprehensive business plans that support the property’s strategic goals. Provide ongoing analytical support to operations, ensuring data-driven decision-making and proactive responses to market trends.
• Risk Management and Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial and operational controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance and accounting team to achieve excellence. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement through clear communication, performance appraisals, and professional development initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, executive committee, and property owners. Communicate financial insights in a clear and persuasive manner, aligning financial strategies with business objectives and owner priorities.
• Audit and Compliance: Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes to ensure transparency, accuracy, and adherence to financial standards. Address audit findings promptly and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Cash Flow Management: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cash flow dynamics and owner priorities. Develop strategies to optimize liquidity, manage working capital, and support the property’s financial health.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following attributes:

• Education: A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a master’s degree in Finance or Accounting may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with a proven track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and team management will be given preference.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated leadership in driving financial strategies and fostering collaborative team environments.
