About the Role

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - Pediatric will be responsible for the following core duties and responsibilities:

• Patient Care and Documentation: Provide high-quality patient care in alignment with granted privileges and established standards of care. Ensure all medical interventions and treatments are meticulously documented in accordance with Fakeeh Care’s policies and procedures.
• Patient Education and Communication: Deliver clear, empathetic, and effective communication to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures. Collaborate closely with attending physicians to ensure seamless care for in-patients.
• Medical Procedures: Perform or assist in medical and surgical procedures as outlined in your granted privileges, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Reporting and Compliance: Generate and provide medical reports to patients in a timely and professional manner, adhering to Fakeeh Care’s standardized formats and regulatory requirements.
• Departmental Engagement: Actively participate in departmental meetings, scientific activities, and training sessions. Contribute to the professional development of junior staff through mentorship and knowledge-sharing.
• Policy Adherence and Improvement: Develop a deep understanding of Fakeeh Care’s policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent application. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancement within your scope of responsibility.
• Safety and Confidentiality: Prioritize patient and staff safety by adhering to all safety protocols and proactively addressing any potential hazards. Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information encountered during work.
• Ethical and Professional Conduct: Uphold Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, ethical standards, and professional integrity in all interactions and decision-making processes.
• Mandatory Education: Complete all required mandatory education programs at least one month prior to their expiration dates, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and competencies:

• Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and non-medical staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in fast-paced clinical settings.
• Education and Experience:
  • Completion of structured training in pediatrics or a subspecialty within a recognized medical center.
  • Obtaining the highest clinical degree in the field of specialty, as granted by the respective medical center.
  • Minimum experience as required by the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA) in recognized medical centers.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid license to practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with advanced life support certifications applicable to the role.
