Automation Specialist Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Automation Specialist Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial engagement to post-sales support. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive technical documentation, creating training materials, facilitating product approvals, and ensuring customers receive exceptional technical assistance. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical capabilities and customer expectations, ensuring seamless project execution and long-term satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support & Collaboration: Provide expert technical guidance to sales teams and customers regarding automation products and solutions, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries.
• Proposal Review & Compliance: Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to verify alignment with technical specifications and project requirements.
• Customer Engagement & Solution Design: Conduct on-site visits to assess customer project needs, recommend tailored automation solutions, and foster strong client relationships.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Product Managers and Business Line Managers during proposal development and vendor negotiations to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Product Development & Enhancement: Contribute to the launch of new products and enhancements by incorporating customer feedback and market insights to improve performance and usability.
• Documentation & Training: Develop, update, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, product manuals, and training materials to support internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Knowledge Dissemination: Deliver technical training sessions and product presentations to internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors to ensure a thorough understanding of automation solutions.
• Product Approvals & Evaluations: Assist in the technical evaluation and approval process for automation products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Quality & Compliance Assurance: Maintain precise technical records and uphold stringent quality, customer service, and safety standards to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience in automation, technical support, application engineering, or a closely related field.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of automation systems, product integration methodologies, and technical documentation best practices.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, strong communication abilities, and robust problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and engage with customers to achieve shared objectives.
