Position Overview

Saudi Automatic Salt Refinery (SASA) – MASA Salt Company, a leading entity in the industrial sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team based in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data while driving strategic financial initiatives. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will play a central role in the financial operations of our organization, with responsibilities spanning across multiple domains:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and management.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate seamless audit procedures and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets to support financial planning and decision-making. Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization. Oversee cost accounting functions to ensure accurate allocation of expenses and inventory valuation.
• General Ledger & ERP Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, and system configurations. Leverage ERP systems to streamline accounting processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve operational efficiency.
• Audit & Regulatory Support: Provide comprehensive support during internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and responses to audit findings. Ensure adherence to tax regulations, corporate governance policies, and internal control frameworks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, production, and operations teams to align financial strategies with business objectives. Offer financial insights and recommendations to enhance profitability, liquidity, and operational performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing efficiency. Implement best practices to strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environments.
• Certifications: Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, or CMA is highly advantageous and demonstrates a commitment to professional excellence.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting, cost accounting, and ERP systems. Familiarity with IFRS and local regulatory frameworks is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical.
