Accountant Payable

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant Payable to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining seamless financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing payables and receivables, and supporting treasury functions. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in SAP, and the ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining precision in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant Payable will be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks, including:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Accurately record and process invoices, verify custody reviews, and ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Treasury Operations: Oversee bank transactions, reconcile accounts, and contribute to cash flow forecasting and financial planning to optimize liquidity and minimize risks.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT, Zakat, and Fasah portal reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure all financial records are documented, accurate, and compliant with local and international accounting standards.
• Journal Entries & Reconciliations: Record and reconcile general ledger entries, ensuring alignment with financial policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Invoicing & Documentation: Generate and issue invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure proper custody and approval processes are followed before processing payments.
• Ad Hoc Financial Tasks: Support the finance team by performing additional duties as assigned by the direct manager, including financial analysis, cost control, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP is essential, as the role involves daily interaction with the system for financial transactions, reporting, and data management.
• Analytical & Mathematical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data, apply mathematical concepts (e.g., percentages, ratios, and proportions), and perform statistical analysis to support decision-making.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to draft reports, present financial information to stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to identify financial discrepancies, resolve issues efficiently, and adapt to evolving business needs or regulatory changes with a proactive mindset.
• Time Management & Discipline: A high sense of urgency, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines are critical for success in this role.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to read and interpret business documents, write professional correspondence, and present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:

• Prior experience in a similar accounting role within a corporate or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with local financial regulations, including VAT and Zakat reporting requirements.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial modeling and data analysis.

This position is open to Saudi citizens only. The selected candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the organization.
