Position Overview

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our esteemed team. Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care and Preparation: Conduct thorough patient assessments, ensuring proper preparation for nuclear medicine procedures, including explaining the process, addressing concerns, and obtaining informed consent. Maintain a patient-centered approach to ensure comfort and cooperation throughout the examination.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Accurately prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols and regulatory guidelines. Monitor patients closely for any adverse reactions and respond promptly to ensure their well-being.
  • Imaging and Equipment Operation: Operate state-of-the-art nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT/CT systems, to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Perform quality control checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Image Processing and Analysis: Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret and analyze nuclear medicine images, providing detailed reports that support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from a recognized professional body, such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality diagnostic services.
  • Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT/CT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulatory compliance standards.
