About the Role

The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing electrical works on construction sites, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, project specifications, and stringent safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision and Compliance: Oversee electrical site activities to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and established quality standards. Monitor workmanship and installation practices to uphold the highest levels of technical integrity.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to facilitate clear communication, resolve discrepancies, and align objectives throughout all project phases, from planning to completion.
• Technical Documentation Review: Evaluate and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards before implementation.
• Installation, Testing, and Commissioning: Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, verifying performance, safety, and functionality in accordance with project specifications and regulatory frameworks.
• Problem Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify technical issues on site, analyze root causes, and provide engineering recommendations and solutions to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted project progress.
• Regulatory and Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality requirements, and project timelines, conducting regular inspections and audits to validate compliance and uphold industry best practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, inspection reports, progress updates, and project documentation to support decision-making, track project milestones, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering within construction projects, with a mandatory background in consultancy roles.
• Sector Expertise: Demonstrated experience in healthcare facility projects, ensuring familiarity with the unique technical and regulatory demands of this sector.
