Key Responsibilities
The Quality Manager will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties, including:
- Quality & Accreditation Management:
- Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust quality management systems across all departments to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulatory standards, including those set by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), Ministry of Health (MOH), and other relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.
- Oversee the preparation, coordination, and management of accreditation processes, audits, and site inspections to achieve and maintain accreditation status.
- Patient Safety & Risk Management:
- Establish, monitor, and enhance patient safety programs, including incident reporting systems, to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address systemic issues and prevent recurrence.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and transparency across the organization to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Performance Improvement:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics aligned with organizational objectives to drive measurable improvements.
- Analyze performance data and trends to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement, and implement targeted improvement plans.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
- Policies & Compliance:
- Develop, review, and update comprehensive policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory mandates through rigorous monitoring and audits.
- Lead internal audits and compliance reviews to validate adherence to standards and drive corrective actions where necessary.
- Leadership & Training:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the quality team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Design and deliver training programs and awareness sessions to educate staff on quality principles, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative departments to ensure seamless alignment and integration of quality initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Nursing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Possesses a minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare quality management, with a strong preference for candidates with direct experience in hospital or medical center settings.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CBAHI accreditation and healthcare compliance within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Holds professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Lean Six Sigma, which are considered advantageous.
- Exhibits a strong command of quality tools, methodologies, and audit processes, including the ability to interpret and apply KPIs effectively.
- Possesses exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive meaningful change.
