Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Budgeting Manager to lead the financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis functions within our organization. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing comprehensive financial models, driving business performance forecasting, and delivering advanced financial analysis and reporting across all business units. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that financial plans are meticulously aligned with corporate objectives while fostering operational efficiency and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Budgeting Manager will play a central role in shaping the financial future of the company by executing the following core responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Budgeting Leadership: Spearhead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasting, and long-range strategic planning initiatives across all business units. Collaborate closely with department heads to establish financial targets, operational plans, and ensure seamless alignment with overarching corporate goals. Drive accountability and transparency in financial planning to support informed decision-making.
- Strategic Financial Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated, scalable financial models tailored to the unique revenue and cost structures of each business line, including SaaS and cloud service models. Ensure these models are robust, adaptable, and capable of providing accurate projections to guide executive strategy and resource allocation.
- Advanced Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and dissemination of detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct rigorous variance analysis to assess performance against budgets and forecasts, and translate complex financial data into clear, strategic presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
- Performance & Driver Analysis: Lead the ongoing analysis of key business, revenue, and cost drivers to project future performance with precision. Identify opportunities for cost optimization, profit enhancement, and operational efficiency, providing actionable insights to drive sustainable growth.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial planning and analysis (FP&A) workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and agility. Champion automation initiatives and best practices that streamline financial reporting, reduce manual effort, and empower faster, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field is required. A Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Experience within the technology sector—particularly in SaaS, cloud services, or IT consulting—is strongly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are considered a significant asset.
Language & Functional Skills
Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders and ensure clarity in financial reporting and analysis.
The successful candidate will possess a robust set of functional competencies, including:
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: Expertise in developing, implementing, and managing operating, capital, and project budgets. This includes estimating revenues and expenditures, aligning budget proposals with organizational goals, and establishing efficient budget creation and approval processes.
- Financial Modeling & Performance Analysis: Proficiency in building and maintaining complex financial models to generate accurate reports, conduct in-depth analysis, and deliver actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret large and complex datasets, identify trends, and extract meaningful insights that optimize business performance and support informed decision-making.
- Planning Process Improvement & Automation: A deep understanding of financial systems and the ability to identify and implement innovative processes or technologies that enhance reporting and planning efficiency.
- Accounting Financial Management Principles: A solid grasp of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports used for planning and analysis.
- Revenue & Cost Driver Analysis: The capability to identify and analyze key financial drivers—such as pricing, volume, and labor costs—that directly impact profitability and business unit performance.
