About the Role

Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities associated with complex construction projects. Your core duties will include:
- Strategic Planning and Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, resource plans, and progress tracking tools to ensure seamless execution. Utilize advanced planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project to create robust timelines and dependencies.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and site staff to monitor project performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare comprehensive planning reports, dashboards, and forecasts to provide stakeholders with real-time insights into project progress.
- Project Control and Compliance: Ensure all planning activities adhere to contract requirements, regulatory standards, and budgetary constraints. Support project control functions by analyzing data, assessing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of planning engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Guide team members in improving planning processes and optimizing production and execution strategies to enhance overall project efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: Proven track record in project planning for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably within giga or mega project environments. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong command of MS Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Strong project control capabilities to monitor performance, assess risks, and implement corrective measures.
