Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the financial planning, analysis, and management of a specific division within our organization. Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will play a central role in shaping the financial future of the division by executing the following core responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to ensure accurate resource allocation and financial stability.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to translate corporate goals into actionable business plans and monitor performance against these targets.
• Performance & Profitability Management:
  • Monitor key financial metrics and business performance to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to optimize margins, enhance cost efficiency, and drive profitability.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making and operational enhancements.
• Decision Support & Business Analysis:
  • Deliver financial insights for critical decisions, including pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and operational initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and conduct scenario modeling to evaluate potential outcomes and guide executive choices.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• Cost Control & Resource Optimization:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance financial efficiency without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of financial resources across business units to maximize return on investment and support growth objectives.
  • Monitor expenses and budgets to achieve cost optimization while maintaining operational excellence.
• Governance, Risk & Compliance:
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with audit, tax, and legal teams to proactively manage financial risks and mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Oversee compliance with financial reporting standards and corporate governance frameworks.
• Reporting & Financial Insights:
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reports for leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Present financial insights in a clear and compelling manner to facilitate strategic discussions and decision-making.
  • Leverage financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that impact the division’s performance.
• Leadership & Talent Development:
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing finance professionals to build a strong second line of management.
  • Identify and address performance gaps, providing guidance to low performers to improve outcomes or facilitate appropriate transitions.
  • Foster an inclusive and equitable work environment, ensuring fair treatment and equal opportunities for all team members.
  • Maintain a delegation of authority matrix in compliance with company policies to streamline decision-making processes.
• Organizational Development & Process Improvement:

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on strategic planning, financial analysis, and leadership. Prior experience in a similar role within a dynamic organization is preferred.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems. Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
