To strengthen our team in Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Applications Support with extensive experience in IT systems administration and maintenance. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining installed systems and infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted performance, high availability, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer in our dynamic and mission-driven environment, your core responsibilities will include:
- System and Infrastructure Management: Oversee and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to proactively maintain optimal performance and availability.
- Software and System Maintenance: Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure seamless functionality.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance to identify potential bottlenecks, propose solutions, and collaborate with development teams to implement necessary fixes.
- Vendor and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Execute maintenance duties in accordance with established plans, adhering to preventive maintenance procedures and schedules. Inspect assets and spare parts, perform repairs and adjustments, and submit detailed maintenance checklist reports as required.
- Troubleshooting and Documentation: Diagnose technical issues by consulting as-built documents, schematics, and other relevant sources. Coordinate with Systems ML1 engineers to resolve incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for a proactive and technically proficient professional with the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT-related roles, with a strong focus on systems administration and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and SQL, along with practical experience in managing Windows and Linux servers.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based applications and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Domain Controller administration to support enterprise-level IT environments.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills for complex technical incidents, coupled with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
