Position Overview
The Human Resources Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing regional HR operations, serving as the primary liaison for all employee-related matters. This position is responsible for overseeing critical functions such as attendance tracking, payroll coordination, onboarding and offboarding processes, HR administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution of HR policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with local labor laws and regulations. By fostering a supportive and efficient work environment, the HR Specialist contributes to the overall productivity and satisfaction of the regional workforce.
Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist will be entrusted with the following core responsibilities:
- Attendance & Time Tracking: Monitor and manage daily attendance records, shift schedules, and leave requests. Accurately calculate monthly overtime and deductions to facilitate precise payroll processing.
- Payroll Coordination: Compile and validate regional payroll variables, including bonuses, commissions, and deductions. Collaborate closely with the Finance department to ensure timely and error-free salary disbursement.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, from the initial gathering of new-hire documentation to conducting comprehensive HR inductions. Manage seamless offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final settlements.
- HR Administration: Maintain meticulous and compliant employee records, draft official correspondence and employment contracts, and coordinate with the Government Relations and Public Relations teams to manage visa and residency renewals.
- Employee Relations: Address and resolve staff inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support regional managers in enforcing HR policies and fostering a positive work environment. Contribute to local employee engagement initiatives to enhance team morale and retention.
Qualifications & Competencies
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of three years of hands-on experience as an HR Generalist or Personnel Specialist, preferably within industries such as Logistics, Express, or E-commerce.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and payroll tracking, along with experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is essential. Proficiency in Chinese is considered a significant advantage.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of local labor laws and social insurance regulations to ensure full compliance in all HR processes.
The Human Resources Specialist will be a key contributor to the regional HR team, driving operational excellence and supporting the organization’s strategic goals through effective people management.
