To support our continued growth and expansion in Riyadh, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic Projects Department.

Job Purpose

The QA/QC Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and ACSC’s stringent quality standards. This position involves overseeing comprehensive site inspections, material approvals, testing procedures, non-conformance management, and quality reporting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to minimize rework, enhance project delivery quality, and uphold ACSC’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

• Implement and maintain ACSC’s Quality Management System across assigned projects to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
• Develop, update, and monitor the Project Quality Plan to align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and approve Method Statements in coordination with project and technical teams to ensure work is executed safely and efficiently.
• Develop, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to systematically verify compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, and the Saudi Building Code.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and submit regular reports to the Project Department Manager for informed decision-making.

Site Inspections and Quality Control

• Conduct daily inspections and quality walkthroughs across project sites to verify compliance with approved standards and specifications.
• Validate that executed works align with approved drawings, material submittals, and workmanship standards.
• Raise, track, and follow up on Inspection Requests to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns.
• Participate in joint inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaborative quality assurance.
• Monitor field and laboratory test results to ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.
• Inspect structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP-related works to identify and address potential quality issues proactively.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions

• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for works or materials that fail to meet approved requirements, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up.
• Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address identified quality deficiencies and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with site and subcontractor teams to close observations within approved timelines and prevent project delays.
• Analyze recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures to enhance long-term project quality.
• Initiate requests for rework or corrective actions when necessary to maintain compliance with project standards.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, quality logs, material approvals, test reports, technical submittals, and NCR registers.
• Track inspection outcomes, consultant feedback, and corrective-action closures to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
• Generate quality KPI reports and management summaries to support strategic decision-making and project oversight.

Coordination and Collaboration

• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Technical Office, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and approved laboratories to ensure alignment with ACSC’s quality procedures.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to ACSC’s quality standards and project-specific requirements throughout the construction process.
• Support project teams in resolving quality issues promptly to mitigate impacts on project cost, schedule, or handover timelines.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC within the construction industry, with a proven track record in residential, commercial, or multi-storey building projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant construction standards and regulations.
• Practical experience in inspecting concrete, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP works to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing laboratories.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is preferred; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Strong proficiency in Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) management.
• Comprehensive understanding of inspection procedures for structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP works.
• Ability to review and approve material submittals, test reports, and technical approvals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and advanced Excel skills for quality reporting and data analysis.
