About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a dynamic organization operating at the forefront of the Construction, Contracting, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), and Infrastructure sectors. This pivotal executive leadership position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and is committed to driving sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and long-term organizational success. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company’s strategic direction, ensuring financial robustness, and overseeing the execution of large-scale projects while fostering innovation and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The CEO will play a central role in defining and executing the company’s strategic vision, aligning business objectives with market opportunities to enhance competitiveness and profitability. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking strategic plan that positions the company as a leader in the construction and infrastructure sectors, ensuring alignment with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all business operations to guarantee efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to high-quality standards, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Project Delivery: Ensure the successful execution of large-scale construction, EPC, and infrastructure projects, leveraging strong project management capabilities and industry best practices.
- Commercial Performance: Drive revenue growth, business development, and market expansion initiatives, identifying new opportunities for diversification and strategic partnerships.
- Financial Stewardship: Assume full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, overseeing financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and operational efficiency to maximize shareholder value.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government entities, investors, and industry partners, to enhance the company’s reputation and secure long-term business opportunities.
- Corporate Governance: Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, risk management, and compliance, ensuring the organization operates ethically and in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Leadership Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the senior leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Business Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, strategic alliances, and investment initiatives that align with the company’s growth objectives.
- Reporting & Governance: Provide regular performance updates, strategic recommendations, and progress reports to the Group CEO and Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a proven track record of executive leadership within the Construction, Contracting, EPC, or Infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Executive Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in a senior executive role, such as CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, Executive Director, or Business Unit Head, within a reputable organization.
- Project Management Expertise: A strong background in managing large-scale construction projects, EPC contracts, and infrastructure developments, with a focus on delivering results under complex and demanding conditions.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional business acumen, including expertise in contract management, revenue growth strategies, and operational leadership, with a proven ability to drive profitability.
- Financial Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost optimization, with a track record of achieving financial targets.
- Leadership & Strategic Skills: Outstanding leadership capabilities, strategic planning expertise, and strong decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive organizational success.
- Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government authorities, investors, clients, and industry partners.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate qualification is highly advantageous.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
