Programmer & Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Programmer & Network Engineer to join our Operations Department in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the configuration, management, and optimization of client networks, as well as the programming and integration of automation and AV system components. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' technology infrastructure while maintaining high standards of performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Network and Systems Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of client networks, automation systems, and AV components to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
• Technical Operations: Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the operations of information systems, telecommunications software, and network infrastructure to align with organizational objectives.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Maintain detailed logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and system updates for future reference.
• System Integration and Configuration: Deploy and test networks, automation systems, and AV components according to industry standards and client specifications. Configure hardware and software to meet operational requirements.
• Hardware and Software Setup: Install, connect, and configure hardware components, load necessary software, and ensure all systems are equipped with the latest updates and security patches.
• Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Liaise with technology suppliers and vendors to facilitate support, maintenance, and procurement of necessary equipment, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
• Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive IP tables, system documentation, and detailed reports for each project. Prepare and submit timely updates to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Specialized System Programming: Develop, program, and update specialized systems, including Lutron, KNX, and Crestron automation platforms, to meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Network Configuration and Updates: Manage network configurations and operating system updates to maintain security, performance, and compatibility with evolving technological demands.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional certifications will also be considered.
• Certifications: Possession of a CCNA certification or equivalent is essential to demonstrate proficiency in network engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in network engineering, system administration, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with hands-on experience in programming and configuring Lutron, KNX, and Crestron systems will be given preference.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Ubiquiti Networks and strong command of Microsoft Office programs are highly desirable. Candidates should also possess the ability to research and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Communication and Reporting: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory. Candidates must be able to prepare and send timely reports, as well as read, write, and respond to emails efficiently.
• Adaptability: The ability to adapt to new software, technologies, and industry trends is crucial for long-term success in this role.
