Lead Assistant Engineer - SMP - Saudi Aramco

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Assistant Engineer to join our team in Saudi Aramco, operating across key locations including Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, and Khobar. This role is pivotal in supporting both small and large-scale capital projects, ensuring seamless execution through meticulous coordination, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management, operational excellence, and performance optimization, with a commitment to driving efficiency and excellence in all endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination and Execution: Act as a liaison between proponents, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate uninterrupted construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and achieving mechanical completion milestones.
• Performance Analysis and Optimization: Leverage analytical skills to interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance data, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Address complex challenges with a structured approach, utilizing data-driven insights to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment of objectives, and resolution of conflicts to maintain project momentum.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent quality standards and compliance requirements throughout all project phases, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed industry benchmarks and organizational expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or a related field is required.
• Professional Certifications (Preferred): Possession of Six Sigma certification is mandatory, while Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable. These credentials demonstrate a commitment to excellence and proficiency in industry-standard methodologies.
• Work Experience: While this position is open to fresh graduates, candidates with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in project management, operational excellence, or performance management are strongly encouraged to apply. Internship, co-op, or training experience in these domains will be considered a significant advantage.
• Technical and Soft Skills: Proficiency in English at a full professional level is essential. Candidates should exhibit strong analytical abilities, problem-solving acumen, and the capacity to interpret and act upon performance data. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A collaborative mindset, coupled with the ability to work under pressure, is critical to success in this role.

This position is based in one of the following strategic locations: Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, or Khobar. Candidates should be prepared to relocate or commute to these sites as required by the role.
