Application Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the central coordinator for enterprise application implementation projects, ensuring seamless execution from initiation through post-deployment support. Your expertise in application architecture, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and IT service management will be instrumental in driving successful project deliveries while maintaining alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Application Specialist will be responsible for orchestrating all phases of enterprise application projects, including implementation, integration, upgrades, and post-deployment support. Your core duties will encompass the following:

• Project Coordination & Execution: Lead and track project activities to ensure timely delivery, adherence to milestones, and alignment with project objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and technical teams to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Facilitate requirement clarification sessions to ensure all parties are aligned on project scope, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies. Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to execute assigned activities in accordance with the project plan.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively monitor project progress, identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate them promptly to ensure timely resolution. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
• Application Lifecycle Support: Provide end-to-end support for enterprise application implementation, integration, upgrades, and post-deployment activities throughout the SDLC. Coordinate critical testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production readiness assessments.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, technical reports, status updates, and implementation plans. Ensure all deliverables adhere to organizational governance, quality standards, change management, and release management processes.
• Incident & Service Management: Oversee incident, problem, and service request activities related to enterprise applications. Ensure proper tracking, escalation, and resolution of issues to maintain optimal application performance and user satisfaction.
• Deployment & Validation Support: Assist in deployment planning, production cutover activities, and post-implementation validation to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime. Conduct thorough reviews to confirm that all project objectives have been met.
• Communication & Updates: Maintain transparent and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular progress updates, address concerns proactively, and foster a collaborative environment to drive project success.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application support, implementation, or project coordination within a corporate or IT services environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and IT service management processes. Experience with application deployments, upgrades, and operational support is essential.
• Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to coordinate and support cross-functional technical teams, including developers, testers, business analysts, and external vendors. Experience in managing diverse stakeholder relationships is highly desirable.
