Lead Specialist, Project Financial Control

Role Summary

The Lead Specialist, Project Financial Control is responsible for analyzing financial data to guide businesses in optimizing their investments to maximize profits. This role involves working with various types of data, including company financial statements, operational performance, industry research, and macroeconomic data, depending on the specific organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven financial insights to support management decision-making on project continuation, delays, or reallocation.
• Prepare monthly CAPEX reports, including progress, actual vs budget, forecasts, and key risks.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.
• Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision-making.
• Review processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins.
• Establish benchmarks for financial processes.
• Study industry-specific research and available data to predict trends.
• Generate reports that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business goals.
• Develop forecasting tools to automate financial data analysis.
• Maintain a structured register for cost risks, contingencies, and mitigation actions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business (required).
• SOCPA certification (required).
• 5 years of experience in similar positions (required).

• Advanced experience in software applications and applicable systems skills.
• Knowledge of ERP package SAP - FI & SD module.
