Position Overview: Database Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Modeling Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable data models that underpin critical Electrical transmission and distribution networks. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and performance of our clients’ energy infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical network data modeling, coupled with hands-on experience in industry-leading tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Model Development: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that accurately represent Electrical transmission and distribution networks, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize advanced modeling tools such as eTerra Habitat for EMS/ADMS modeling, alongside Display Builder for EMS and AEMS applications, to create intuitive and functional data representations.
• Database Management: Leverage expertise in SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle 19C and above, to optimize data storage, retrieval, and management processes.
• Electrical Network Visualization: Develop and interpret Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) to ensure clarity and precision in network representation, facilitating better decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, validate models, and implement solutions that drive operational excellence and innovation.
• Compliance & Best Practices: Adhere to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and TCS’s internal policies to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the modeling lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical network data modeling, with a proven track record in designing models for transmission and distribution systems.
• Tool & Technology Proficiency:
  • In-depth knowledge of EMS/ADMS modeling tools, particularly eTerra Habitat.
  • Strong command of SQL and experience with Oracle 19C and above.
  • Familiarity with Display Builder for EMS and AEMS applications.
  • Understanding of Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and their applications in network modeling.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data structures, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions to enhance network performance and scalability.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
