Field Services Engineer

The Field Services Engineer is a critical role responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of motors and variable speed drive systems. This position also involves providing technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of variable speed drives systems and motors, generators, and excitation & AVR systems.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical support to customers.
• Lead and provide technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
• Maintain strong safety mindset and adhere to GE safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future reference.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of field service experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial motors, generators, or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required.

• Prior field engineering experience.
