Store Keeper

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Keeper to oversee warehouse and store operations for construction, facilities management, and electrical testing projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory, materials, and resources while maintaining strict adherence to company procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. This position requires a proactive individual capable of optimizing stock accuracy, minimizing waste, and supporting seamless project execution through timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

The Store Keeper will be responsible for a wide range of warehouse and inventory management tasks, including:

• Warehouse & Store Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of warehouse and store operations, ensuring alignment with the requirements of construction, electrical testing, and facilities management projects.
• Material Handling & Inventory Control: Receive, inspect, store, preserve, and issue materials in strict accordance with company protocols to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation: Maintain precise inventory records through systematic tracking and conduct regular stock reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Stock Level Monitoring: Track minimum and maximum stock thresholds, proactively coordinating with the Procurement team to prevent material shortages and ensure uninterrupted project workflows.
• Process Improvement & Compliance: Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to reduce material loss, damage, and obsolescence while ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Finance teams to assess material requirements, validate receiving reports, and approve issue vouchers and transfer requests.
• Audit & Reporting: Conduct monthly stock audits, prepare detailed inventory reports for management, and investigate discrepancies to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
• Supplier & Delivery Management: Maintain a Purchase Order (PO) Material Delivery Tracker, monitor supplier performance, and follow up on pending deliveries to ensure timely material availability for ongoing projects.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Supervisor, or in a comparable inventory management role, preferably within construction, facilities management, or electrical testing environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and material control processes, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/inventory management systems.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective collaboration across departments and with external suppliers.

Preferred Competencies

While not mandatory, the following skills and attributes will enhance a candidate’s suitability for this role:

• Expertise in inventory management, warehouse operations, and material receiving/issuance processes.
• Hands-on experience with stock reconciliation, auditing, and Purchase Order tracking.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities for data analysis and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage vendor and supplier relationships while ensuring timely deliveries.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSE compliance and time management best practices.
