Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Applications Senior Department Manager to lead our corporate applications division. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic oversight, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide applications, including HR systems, financial software, procurement tools, and other mission-critical business applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure seamless alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Applications Senior Department Manager will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of responsibilities, including:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute forward-thinking strategies to optimize the acquisition, deployment, and utilization of corporate applications, ensuring they deliver maximum value to the organization and its stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership across IT and business units to align application strategies with overarching business goals, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of end-user leaders and departmental management.
• Project Management: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of corporate application projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks while proactively managing risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Application Development & Maintenance: Oversee the customization, enhancement, and lifecycle management of corporate applications, ensuring their reliability, performance, and compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop the corporate applications team through strategic hiring, targeted training, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Vendor & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with software vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure optimal value, service levels, and technological advancements.
• Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in corporate applications, recommending and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and business agility.
• Security & Performance Assurance: Implement robust security protocols and performance monitoring mechanisms to safeguard sensitive data, minimize downtime, and maintain a zero-breach security record while ensuring high user satisfaction.
• KPI & SOP Development: Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for application performance and security, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to standardize operations and uphold service excellence.
• Policy & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all applications and departmental processes comply with organizational policies, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices, mitigating risks and maintaining operational integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing corporate applications, with a proven track record in a retail or similar dynamic business environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and hands-on experience with enterprise-level application management, project management methodologies, and IT governance frameworks.
• Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders at all levels, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences with clarity and precision.
• Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is required to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Work Environment & Logistics

This full-time position operates in a professional indoor office setting, with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a one-hour break. The role follows a structured five-day workweek with two designated days off for work-life balance.
