Arts Project Coordinator

As an Arts Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our mission by supporting programme implementation, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing key operational and financial aspects of arts and cultural projects. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive support to the programme team, ensuring seamless project delivery while adhering to British Council standards. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Project Management:
  • Manage data collection, quality assurance, and analysis to produce accurate progress reports for funders and stakeholders.
  • Support internal compliance activities, including due diligence, records management, and data storage in accordance with British Council policies.
  • Assist in grants administration, including selection, evaluation, and procurement processes.
  • Coordinate events, training sessions, and other programme components to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the implementation of diversity mainstreaming action plans, fostering an inclusive and equitable project environment.
• Financial Support:
  • Develop and report on project financial plans, including budget expenditure and forecasting, in collaboration with Programme Managers and the Head of Programme Delivery.
  • Maintain meticulous financial records to meet audit requirements and ensure transparency.
  • Process vendor payments promptly and in compliance with the FABS online system (SAP Finance) guidelines.
  • Uphold British Council financial policies and procedures to safeguard organisational integrity.
• Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring accountability and adherence to service agreements.

Essential Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in a supporting role within programme or project management.
• Strong administrative and financial administration skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Solid understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles and their application in project management.
• Fluency in English (C1 level) and Arabic (C1 level), with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Legal right to work in Saudi Arabia without the need for visa sponsorship or relocation support.

While prior experience in a multicultural or international organisation is desirable, it is not mandatory. Familiarity with SAP systems will be considered an advantage.
