About Dnaneer

Dnaneer Financing Company, a Saudi Central Bank-licensed entity, specializes in delivering innovative, Shariah-compliant financing solutions tailored for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Saudi Arabia. Leveraging a cutting-edge crowdlending model, Dnaneer was established in 2023 to bridge the SME financing gap through technology-driven underwriting, data analytics, and strategic collaborations. Our mission is to empower business growth by providing transparent, flexible, and customer-focused financial products that align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Team Lead to oversee our core finance functions, including Financial Management, Accounting, and Debt Control. As a SAMA-supervised financing company, we operate in a highly regulated environment where precision, compliance, and control in financial reporting are paramount to maintaining stakeholder trust. This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with senior leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial records, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, and maintaining full compliance with tax and statutory obligations. Additionally, you will supervise the Accountant and Debt Controller to deliver a robust, well-controlled finance operation aligned with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and SAMA regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Debt Control

  • Lead the debt control function, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of loan and facility balances, accrued profit, and repayment schedules across lending and accounting systems.
  • Monitor portfolio repayment performance and aging, with a focus on correctly classifying, provisioning, and reporting overdue and impaired exposures in accordance with IFRS 9 and SAMA guidelines.
  • Ensure investor repayment allocations and collections postings are reconciled to underlying facilities, guaranteeing accurate attribution of principal and profit while maintaining a balanced receivables ledger at each reporting cycle.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in strict adherence to IFRS and internal policies.
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with business teams, performing variance analysis to identify key performance drivers and present actionable insights to senior management.
  • Drive strategic initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis to support long-term growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of SAMA regulatory returns and prudential reporting in compliance with applicable guidelines.

Accounting

  • Supervise the general ledger, chart of accounts, and month-end and year-end close processes, including timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Establish and enhance internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risks and ensure audit readiness, while managing external audits with third-party auditors for seamless and compliant outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accounting processes, systems, and reporting for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

Taxation

  • Ensure full compliance with all Saudi tax obligations, including VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax, by preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns, Zakat declarations, and other statutory filings with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) accurately and punctually.
  • Manage all correspondence and audits with ZATCA, maintaining comprehensive tax documentation, registers, and supporting records to ensure full audit readiness.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Saudi tax legislation and advise senior management on their implications, coordinating with external tax advisors to implement best-practice, compliant tax strategies.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • 2–4 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and/or taxation.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • In-depth knowledge of SAMA regulatory frameworks governing finance companies.
    • Strong understanding of the Saudi tax framework, including VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax, along with ZATCA filing requirements.
