About the Role
As an IT Manager at our Accor-affiliated hotel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our digital infrastructure while driving innovation to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency. You will lead a team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing our IT systems, safeguarding data integrity, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that align with our commitment to responsible hospitality. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic global network of 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants, and lifestyle destinations, where your expertise will directly impact the success of our business and the satisfaction of our guests.
Key Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will oversee the entire IT ecosystem of the hotel, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of servers, workstations, network equipment, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity to guarantee uninterrupted operations.
- System Operations: Ensure the continuous functionality of critical hotel systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), reservation platforms, key card systems, accounting software, and other hospitality applications.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Monitor system performance, diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, and resolve them promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity measures, including antivirus protection, firewalls, data backups, disaster recovery protocols, and access controls to safeguard sensitive information and comply with data privacy regulations.
- User and Access Management: Administer user accounts, email systems, and permissions for all employees, ensuring secure and efficient access to necessary resources.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with software and hardware vendors to manage installations, maintenance, upgrades, and support, ensuring alignment with business needs and budget constraints.
- IT Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, such as system upgrades, technology implementations, and infrastructure enhancements, to drive operational improvements and innovation.
- Asset and License Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and equipment, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Policy Development: Create, update, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation to standardize operations and mitigate risks.
- Staff Training and Support: Provide technical guidance, training, and support to hotel staff, empowering them to leverage IT tools effectively and troubleshoot common issues.
- Budget and Procurement Oversight: Monitor IT budgets, manage maintenance contracts, and oversee the procurement of IT equipment to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
- Conference and Meeting Technology: Support audiovisual equipment, presentation systems, and other technology used in conference rooms and meeting spaces to ensure flawless event execution.
- Business Continuity: Implement and test disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and rapid restoration of services in the event of an outage or cyber incident.
- Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending strategic advancements that enhance hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and sustainability efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Prior experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, and cloud services. Familiarity with hotel-specific systems such as PMS, POS, door lock systems, IPTV, and CCTV is a significant advantage.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and compliance requirements to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA), or ITIL are highly valued and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
