Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Assistant Engineer to join our dynamic team at Saudi Aramco. The Lead Assistant Engineer will play a critical part in supporting the Senior Mechanical Engineer in overseeing and executing projects related to Subsurface Monitoring and Pressure (SMP) systems. Key Responsibilities

The Lead Assistant Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Project Leadership: Provide technical guidance and supervision to a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Technical Oversight: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of SMP systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, reservoir engineers, and operations personnel, to align SMP initiatives with broader organizational goals.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in SMP projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure operational safety.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
• Training and Development: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all SMP activities adhere to Saudi Aramco’s safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical or petroleum engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Direct experience with SMP systems is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, PETREL) and strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and optimize system performance.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts effectively, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
