Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Dimensional Control Implementation: Develop, validate, and deploy advanced dimensional control methods to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of manufactured components, aligning with stringent industry specifications.
- Process Optimization: Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvement, reducing waste and enhancing efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections and measurements using state-of-the-art metrology equipment, ensuring all components meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of inspection results, calibration data, and process adjustments. Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production staff, and quality assurance personnel, to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Provide guidance and training to junior team members on best practices in dimensional control.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all processes and procedures adhere to international quality standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant industry regulations.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues related to dimensional accuracy, proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and minimize production downtime.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in dimensional control. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Quality Control, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of dimensional metrology principles.
- Proficiency in using advanced measurement tools, such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), optical comparators, and laser scanners.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, Calypso) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
