Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Field Services Engineer will perform the following duties and responsibilities with a high degree of professionalism and autonomy:

• On-Site Service and Maintenance: Conduct runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities directly at customer sites. This includes machining, non-destructive testing (NDT), blade repair, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics to ensure seamless equipment operation.
• Technical Expertise: Deepen technical knowledge within a specialized discipline and apply prior experience and acquired expertise to implement guidelines and strategies effectively. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of key business drivers and how individual contributions integrate with broader team and organizational goals.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Utilize judgment to propose innovative solutions within defined parameters, leveraging analytical thinking and technical skills to resolve complex issues. Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive efficient problem resolution.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a single point of contact with proven interpersonal skills or as an emerging leader capable of hiring and developing talent. Provide informal guidance to new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with operational objectives. Coordinate resources effectively to meet service delivery targets and customer expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications and possess the following attributes:

• Education and Experience: This position requires advanced experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant technical field. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma and substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in field service operations, including machining, NDT, welding, and generator diagnostics. Ability to apply analytical and organizational skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Communication and Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities. Proven capability to influence and lead small teams, driving initiatives of medium scope and impact. Ability to coordinate cross-functional projects and deliver results under pressure.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated aptitude for identifying issues, analyzing data, and implementing effective solutions. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure operational efficiency.
