Senior Automation Engineer

Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Siemens PLC programming, software testing, and commissioning.
• Robot programming for industrial applications, including UR, Kawasaki, KUKA, and MiR robots.
• Creating schematic drawings for power and control circuits, as well as pneumatics.
• Designing PLC control systems and safety systems for project solutions.
• PLC testing, program execution, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Instructing and guiding automation engineers and technicians.
• Project costing and selection of components based on project requirements.
• Collaborating with mechanical design and operation teams in project activities.
• Implementing project documentation and leading teams in project activities.
• Leading projects from initial design concepts through presale, post-sale, and installation stages.
• Responsibilities in project components selection in electrical, control, pneumatics, and industrial robotics.

Key Requirements

• Proven expertise in Siemens industrial automation and control devices.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic circuits design.
• Experience with major PLC brands, preferably Siemens, and robot integrations.
• Experience and knowledge of industrial automation system simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, Siemens TIA Portal, or FlexSim.
• Familiarity with electrical design software like Solid Works Electrical, AutoCAD, or E plan.
• Hands-on experience in machine manufacturing industries.
• Additional certifications in industrial automation are a plus.
• Proven experience in project planning, cost estimation, execution, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with major communication protocols in PLC control systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Experience

We seek candidates with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in industrial automation and control, with a strong track record of executed projects and team leadership, demonstrating robust problem-solving skills.
