Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Clinical Teaching & Supervision:
  • Supervise and guide medical students during clinical rotations, ensuring they gain practical experience in real-world healthcare settings.
  • Conduct bedside teaching sessions, facilitate case discussions, and deliver clinical demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of medical concepts.
  • Foster the development of clinical reasoning, patient assessment, and evidence-based decision-making skills among students.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, professional conduct, and patient safety in all clinical interactions.
  • Incorporate simulation-based training methodologies to provide students with controlled, risk-free environments for skill development.
• Student Assessment & Support:
  • Evaluate students’ clinical performance using standardized assessment tools and structured feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide timely, actionable, and constructive feedback to support students’ continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Act as a mentor, offering guidance to students facing academic or clinical challenges and helping them navigate their educational journey.
• Academic & Administrative Duties:
  • Participate in the evaluation of students through clinical assessments, including Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
  • Maintain meticulous records of student attendance, evaluations, and performance reports to ensure compliance with institutional standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of course and program reports, providing insights to enhance the quality of medical education.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools to streamline teaching processes, documentation, and student engagement.
• Professional Conduct & Collaboration:
  • Uphold institutional policies, clinical regulations, and ethical standards in all professional interactions.
  • Collaborate effectively with faculty members, clinical teams, and hospital partners to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Engage actively in academic activities, departmental meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in medical education and clinical practice.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Hold an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification in Medicine from a recognized institution.
• Possess a valid professional license or registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), where applicable.
• Demonstrate a minimum of one year of clinical practice experience in a relevant medical field.
• A prior experience in clinical teaching, supervision, or mentorship is highly desirable.
• Exhibit strong clinical knowledge, exceptional patient care skills, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
