About the Role

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of proposal-related activities, including:

• Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for structural engineering and construction tenders, ensuring alignment with project scope, client expectations, and company standards.
• Document Review & Compliance: Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements to verify full compliance and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with estimation, design, planning, and procurement teams to gather necessary inputs, validate assumptions, and finalize bid submissions.
• Technical Documentation: Develop detailed method statements, technical submissions, and proposal documentation that clearly articulate our engineering solutions and value proposition.
• Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Participate in value engineering initiatives to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining structural integrity and project feasibility during tender stages.
• Client Engagement: Prepare bid clarifications and respond to client technical queries in a timely and professional manner to support the bid evaluation process.
• Strategic Support: Assist management in bid strategy development, risk assessment, and decision-making to maximize our competitive advantage in the market.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet or exceed company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in proposal or tendering roles within construction or contracting companies, with a strong focus on structural engineering projects.
• Project Exposure: Proven background in structural engineering projects, including buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects, with hands-on experience in tender preparation and submission.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of structural drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Proposal Expertise: Demonstrated experience in preparing technical proposals, tender documentation, and method statements for complex engineering projects.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional coordination, analytical, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with tendering and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
