Position Overview

Integrated Solutions Tawantech is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer specializing in the Quarkus framework to join our dynamic team. As a Java Developer with expertise in Quarkus, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance, scalable, and resilient applications that meet the evolving demands of modern enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using the Quarkus framework, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering and architecture.
• Framework Utilization: Leverage Quarkus’ capabilities to build lightweight, fast-starting, and cloud-native applications with minimal memory footprint, optimizing performance and resource utilization.
• API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Quarkus, ensuring seamless communication between system components and third-party services.
• Database Integration: Implement efficient data access layers using JPA/Hibernate, Panache, or other persistence frameworks, and optimize database interactions for high availability and scalability.
• Cloud-Native Development: Contribute to the development of cloud-native applications, leveraging Quarkus’ native support for Kubernetes, OpenShift, and serverless architectures to enhance deployment flexibility and scalability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability, security, and performance. Utilize frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and TestContainers where applicable.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions. Share knowledge and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring applications meet stringent SLAs for responsiveness, throughput, and resource efficiency.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption, to safeguard applications and comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and deployment guides. Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java (preferably Java 11 or later) and hands-on experience with the Quarkus framework. Familiarity with other Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Micronaut is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Cloud and DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools is a valuable asset.
• Database Management: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, including design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
