Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4i) Administrator to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, onsite role that offers an exceptional opportunity to work with cutting-edge IBM integration technologies, including IBM MQ, API Connect, App Connect Enterprise, DataPower, and Event Streams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining the entire CP4i stack, ensuring optimal performance, security, and high availability across all components. You will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and client stakeholders to deliver seamless integration solutions that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
The IBM CP4i Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the IBM Cloud Pak for Integration environment. Your core responsibilities will include:
- IBM MQ Administration: Managing queue managers, channels, clustering, and high-availability configurations to ensure reliable message processing and data integrity.
- IBM API Connect (APIC) Management: Administering gateways, portals, management, and analytics subsystems to enable secure and scalable API-driven integrations.
- IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) Operations: Overseeing integration servers, flows, and deployments to facilitate seamless data exchange and business process automation.
- IBM DataPower Gateway Administration: Configuring, securing, and troubleshooting DataPower gateways to protect and optimize enterprise integrations.
- IBM Event Streams (Kafka) Management: Administering topics, partitions, and event-driven workloads to support real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
- OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Operations: Deploying, operating, and troubleshooting CP4i workloads on OCP to ensure scalability, resilience, and efficient resource utilization.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades: Performing installations, patching, upgrades, backup/restore operations, and capacity planning to maintain a robust and secure integration environment.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Setting up health monitoring, alerting systems, and proactive troubleshooting to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and availability issues.
- CI/CD and Automation Support: Collaborating with development teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and operational automation for integration workloads.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and client stakeholders, to ensure smooth delivery, alignment with business objectives, and adherence to best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and expertise:
- IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4i) Administration: Proven hands-on experience administering CP4i and its core components, including IBM MQ, APIC, ACE, DataPower, and Event Streams.
- Containerization and Microservices: Solid working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as microservices architecture principles.
- Red Hat OpenShift Expertise: Extensive experience with the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, including deployment, operators, and troubleshooting in a production environment.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Strong proficiency in monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools tailored for containerized environments to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in high-priority production environments, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in IBM integration technologies or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4i) and its components.
- Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and containerization technologies.
- Strong understanding of IBM MQ, API Connect, App Connect Enterprise, DataPower, and Event Streams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools in a production environment.
- Ability to work onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on a full-time basis.
