Overview
The Senior Specialist - Technology Procurement at Qiddiya Investment Company plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to develop a world-class entertainment, cultural, and lifestyle destination. The successful candidate will oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from vendor evaluation to contract execution, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the complete procurement process for technology products and services, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and purchase order follow-up to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with technology suppliers and vendors to guarantee high-quality products, competitive pricing, and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Market Research & Strategic Sourcing: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging technology trends, assess supplier capabilities, and recommend procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
- Compliance & Policy Adherence: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and local legal requirements, mitigating risks and maintaining ethical standards in vendor interactions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, project management, finance, and legal teams to align technology procurement with departmental needs and organizational objectives, fostering a unified approach to project execution.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, including contracts, reports, and records, to ensure transparency, accountability, and audit readiness.
- Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and efficiency gains within technology procurement to maximize value for the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive experience in technology procurement or a related supply chain role, with a proven track record of managing complex procurement projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations, along with hands-on experience using procurement software such as SAP, Ariba, or equivalent platforms.
- Analytical & Strategic Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and develop data-driven procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, and risk.
- Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation abilities to secure favorable terms and maintain productive vendor relationships.
- Language & Cultural Competency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous. A deep understanding of the Saudi Arabian business environment and local market practices is preferred.
