Life Guard (Saudi only)

Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Life Guard to ensure the safety and well-being of guests at our premier recreation facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential in maintaining a secure, enjoyable, and compliant environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies while promoting a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

As a Life Guard, your primary duties will include:

• Vigilant Surveillance: Continuously monitor the swimming area to identify hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, or swimmers in distress. Implement appropriate rescue techniques to assist those in need.
• Guest Safety and Assistance: Proactively identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in activities and promptly notify management. Provide immediate aid to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool deck by obtaining, folding, and stacking towels, as well as washing, mopping, and cleaning the area to meet company standards.
• Compliance and Reporting: Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Complete mandatory safety training and certifications to ensure adherence to local and state regulations.
• Guest Engagement: Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company protocols, ensuring a professional appearance and courteous demeanor. Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to all visitors.
• Team Collaboration: Support colleagues with dignity and respect, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests.
• Operational Duties: Inspect tools and equipment for defects, move at required speeds to respond to situations, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance for heavier items. Navigate various surfaces, including slopes and slippery areas, and perform bending, twisting, and reaching motions as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Additional certifications or training required by local and state agencies must be obtained.
• Experience: Prior experience in lifeguarding or related fields is not required, but a strong commitment to safety and guest service is essential.
