Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. In this critical position, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, including account reconciliations, budgeting, and accounts payable, while leveraging your expertise in SAP to drive process improvements and maintain compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in accounting or finance, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Process invoices, payments, and purchases with precision, ensuring seamless integration into the general ledger while maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records.
• Financial Documentation Review: Thoroughly examine and verify financial documents, contracts, and transactions to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, trial balances, and other critical reports to facilitate informed decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.
• Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing: Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion while identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Data Accuracy and Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in financial data by implementing robust internal controls, performing detailed reconciliations, and addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to streamline accounting processes and provide actionable insights that enhance overall financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Must be a Saudi national.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in a senior-level capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth experience with the SAP financial system, including modules such as FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling), is essential.
• Accounting Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is highly desirable.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in general ledger processes, reconciliation techniques, and financial reporting is required.
