Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Feda North for Contracting in Jeddah. The Resident Electrical Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority on-site, overseeing all electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Lead and supervise all electrical engineering activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and safety protocols. Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures to maintain project timelines and budgets.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel on electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage installations. Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, including NEC, IEC, and OSHA guidelines. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to mitigate hazards and promote a culture of safety across the project site.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Collaborate with the design team to propose innovative solutions that enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all electrical activities, including daily reports, test results, and as-built drawings. Prepare comprehensive progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for electrical-related matters, liaising with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project execution. Present technical updates and resolve queries to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all electrical installations meet the highest standards of performance and durability. Conduct pre-commissioning and final inspections to validate system functionality and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or CEng) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or resident engineer role within the construction or infrastructure sector. Experience in large-scale projects, such as commercial, industrial, or residential developments, is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and automation. Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar is essential. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints is required.
• Certifications: Valid professional engineering license (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers) and certifications in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E) are advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under pressure.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory. Additional language skills are a plus.
