Job Overview
Alfaheed is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agricultural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. Key Responsibilities
- System Design and Implementation: Develop and oversee the implementation of advanced agricultural systems, including irrigation, drainage, and soil management systems, to maximize crop yield and resource utilization.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate, recommend, and integrate cutting-edge agricultural technologies, such as precision farming tools, automated machinery, and IoT-based monitoring systems, to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Project Management: Lead and manage agricultural projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Research and Development: Conduct research to identify innovative solutions for pest control, water conservation, and soil health, and apply findings to enhance farming practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all agricultural activities comply with local and international regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines to maintain sustainable and responsible farming operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with agronomists, technicians, and field workers to provide technical expertise, training, and support, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret agricultural data to generate actionable insights, performance reports, and recommendations for optimizing farm operations and decision-making processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in specialized areas such as irrigation engineering or precision agriculture are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in agricultural engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing agricultural systems and technologies.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, soil science, and modern farming technologies. Familiarity with CAD software, data analysis tools, and agricultural management software is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to identifying and addressing challenges in agricultural operations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing agricultural projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful outcomes.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
