As an Associate Technical Consultant specializing in Structural Heart therapies, you will play a pivotal role in advancing patient care within the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic and high-impact role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and educator for healthcare professionals, ensuring the successful adoption and utilization of Medtronic’s Structural Heart products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Product Advocacy and Education: Promote Medtronic’s Structural Heart portfolio, including TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) and TPVI (Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation) solutions, by providing technical expertise through presentations, product demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions for physicians and hospital personnel.
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner closely with healthcare professionals to support pre-procedure planning, intra-operative guidance, and post-implant patient management, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients undergoing Structural Heart interventions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, hospital administrators, and clinical teams, to foster trust and drive adoption of Medtronic’s advanced technologies.
- Technical Support and Consultation: Provide on-site technical assistance during procedures, troubleshoot challenges, and offer real-time solutions to ensure seamless integration of Medtronic products into clinical workflows. Serve as a resource for hospital personnel on therapy indications, device applications, and best practices.
- Market Insights and Feedback: Gather and communicate customer feedback on product performance, potential enhancements, and emerging clinical needs to internal stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of Medtronic’s offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial teams to align technical support with sales strategies, product launches, and market expansion initiatives. Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize clinical support pathways and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- On-Call Support: Provide responsive on-call support as needed to address urgent technical inquiries or complications, ensuring uninterrupted access to expert guidance for healthcare partners.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Structural Heart therapies, medical device technologies, and industry trends through continuous learning and participation in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, clinical acumen, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on Structural Heart therapies or a related field. Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Structural Heart procedures, including TAVI and TPVI, as well as familiarity with operating room (OR) protocols, sterilization practices, and radiation safety standards.
- Communication and Training Skills: Exceptional ability to educate and train medical professionals, peers, and technical support teams on product features, clinical applications, and procedural best practices. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of medical terminology, current market trends, and the competitive landscape within the Structural Heart segment. Familiarity with radiology protocols and imaging technologies is a plus.
- Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Environment and Travel
This position is based in Qassim, Saudi Arabia, with an expected travel requirement of 60-70% of the time. You will be responsible for traveling to customer clinics, hospitals, and off-site meetings across the region to provide on-site support, conduct training sessions, and engage with healthcare professionals.
