Country Location
The Intercontinental Hub (ICH) encompasses a dynamic cluster of emerging and high-potential markets, including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the Gulf region, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea, and other alliance countries. These markets represent nearly 100 million people and are pivotal for expanding patient access and accelerating global revenue growth.

Intercontinental Hub (ICH) Overview
The Intercontinental Hub (ICH) is a critical component of Lilly’s International Business Unit (IBU), designed to address the complexities of diverse and high-potential markets. These markets require deep technical expertise, agility, and the ability to navigate multifaceted environments. The ICH plays a vital role in driving efficiency, standardizing processes, and sustaining the target operating model across all affiliates to ensure scalable performance.
Role Summary
The Transformation Lead for the Intercontinental Hub is a key position within the ICX Office, responsible for driving organizational change, ensuring execution accountability, and establishing robust governance structures. This role spans both commercial and medical domains, focusing on enhancing efficiency, standardizing operating processes, and embedding the ICH target operating model across all affiliates. The Transformation Lead will collaborate closely with General Managers (GMs), Country Medical Heads, IBU functional leaders, and global counterparts to achieve strategic objectives.
Basic Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in commercial business roles within the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in sales, marketing, or medical functions.
- Skills: Strong project management capabilities with a focus on speed and execution; broad, cross-functional knowledge of key business processes such as field team operations, business planning, and brand planning.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build and foster team culture across geographically distributed teams; international or multi-country experience is essential.
- Language Proficiency: Business-level English required; proficiency in Spanish and/or additional regional languages is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Business Transformation
- Collaborate with GMs, Country Medical Officers (CMOs), and ICX Functional Leads to develop a transformation agenda aligned with key strategic pillars across ICH markets.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reach and scalability within ICH markets; establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic pillars and monthly objectives.
- Foster a culture of high accountability aligned with ICH productivity and execution goals.
- Contribute as a cross-functional thought partner to affiliate and ICH strategy development.
Governance & Operating Model
- Establish clear decision rights and governance rhythms across ICH affiliates; standardize IBU escalation and approval pathways.
- Define and embed the target ICH operating model; align resource allocation with strategic priorities to ensure sustainable transformation.
- Implement consistent KPIs and performance cadence across ICH; align governance with ambassador and CMO structures.
- Chair and coordinate critical ICH governance meetings, including the ICH Leadership Committee (LMC) and Medical Management Committee (MMC) as needed.
Efficiency & Productivity
- Identify and eliminate process duplication across markets; reduce reporting overhead and coordination inefficiencies to streamline operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the ICH framework.
