Master Data Steward

About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated Master Data Steward to join our team. In this pivotal position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of enterprise master data across multiple business domains. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to uphold established governance policies, thereby supporting operational excellence and enabling informed business decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain Master Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of enterprise master data across critical domains, including item, supplier, and location data, in alignment with organizational standards.
• Process Master Data Requests: Handle master data requests in accordance with established MDM governance policies, procedures, and workflows to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with business users, data owners, and technical teams to facilitate master data creation, updates, and changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Data Quality Management: Monitor data quality metrics, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to enhance data accuracy and resolve issues proactively.
• Governance and Compliance: Apply and enforce data governance standards across business functions to improve master data quality, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks.
• Data Cleansing and Improvement: Participate in data cleansing initiatives, quality improvement projects, testing, and issue resolution to maintain high standards of data integrity.
• System Updates and Reporting: Review exception reports and perform timely system updates to support seamless downstream business operations and decision-making processes.
• Project Support: Provide expert support for master data activities during system implementations and continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and collaboration to resolve master data-related challenges efficiently.

Requirements

Education

Applicants should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines or a related field:

• Business Administration
• Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Data Science
• Supply Chain

Experience

We welcome candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience in areas such as:

• Master Data Management
• Data Administration
• Data Stewardship
• Similar data management roles

Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following technical areas is essential:

• Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Fundamental knowledge of database structures and operations
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools
• Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and practices
• Expertise in Data Quality Management and Data Governance frameworks
