Key Responsibilities

As an IAM Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining our IAM infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Architecture and Design: Develop and implement scalable IAM architectures, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM) solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to align IAM strategies with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Implementation and Integration: Lead the deployment of IAM tools and technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, applications, and identity providers. This includes configuring and optimizing solutions such as Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Okta, Ping Identity, and SailPoint.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and access reviews to mitigate security vulnerabilities and maintain compliance.
• Identity Governance and Administration (IGA): Oversee the lifecycle management of user identities, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC). Implement automated workflows to streamline identity governance processes and reduce administrative overhead.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level support for IAM-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving authentication failures, access conflicts, and integration challenges. Serve as a technical escalation point for the IT and security teams.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and application development, to ensure cohesive IAM strategies. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of IAM processes and technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent credentials in IAM technologies.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience with IAM platforms, including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, or similar solutions. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with APIs and identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) is essential.
• Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity management, and access control mechanisms. Experience with security frameworks, encryption technologies, and threat detection tools is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex IAM issues efficiently. A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks is critical.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
