Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Position Overview

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality through rigorous testing methodologies, defect identification, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Defect Management: Collaborate with development teams to log, track, and verify the resolution of software defects. Utilize industry-standard tools to prioritize issues based on severity and impact on end-users.
• Automation Testing: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Leverage automation frameworks to streamline repetitive testing tasks and accelerate release cycles.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze quality metrics to assess software reliability and performance. Generate detailed reports on testing progress, defect trends, and quality assurance outcomes for stakeholders and management.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Recommend best practices to improve software quality, reduce defects, and optimize testing workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment on quality standards and project objectives. Participate in sprint planning, review meetings, and post-release evaluations to foster continuous improvement.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations, security protocols, and quality assurance standards. Validate that software solutions meet organizational and client-specific compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms. Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation is highly desirable.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Capable of analyzing complex software systems and identifying potential risks or defects.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues, test results, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices. Awareness of emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance is advantageous.
