Resident Engineer - Electrical

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer – Electrical to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. This critical role involves overseeing and managing electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering exceptional results in alignment with client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in executing complex electrical engineering initiatives. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related matters, collaborating closely with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Lead and supervise electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the liaison between the client, contractors, and internal teams, facilitating clear communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment on project objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous inspections, reviews, and audits to verify compliance with design standards, codes, and best practices, mitigating risks and ensuring project integrity.
• Budget and Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions to maintain operational efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring a secure work environment and minimizing operational risks.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and address technical challenges, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience in the Middle East or similar markets is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), and industry standards. Familiarity with CAD software, BIM tools, and project management platforms is essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate teams.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges in high-pressure environments.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid professional engineering license or equivalent certification is required.
