Position Overview

We are partnering with a globally recognized pharmaceutical company to identify a highly skilled and motivated Medical Advisor – Oncology to join their dynamic team based in Riyadh. This pivotal role will serve as a cornerstone of the company’s medical strategy, ensuring scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic engagement with key stakeholders in the oncology therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of oncology, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Advisor will play a critical role in advancing the company’s medical and scientific objectives through the following core responsibilities:

• Scientific and Medical Expertise: Develop and maintain up-to-date scientific and medical knowledge in oncology, ensuring alignment with global and local therapeutic guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Scientific Engagement and Exchange: Facilitate meaningful scientific discussions and exchanges with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and internal stakeholders to drive medical insights and support product positioning.
• Medical Information and Presentations: Deliver high-impact clinical presentations, respond to medical inquiries, and provide evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals and internal teams.
• Patient and Product Support: Offer medical guidance for patient support programs and formulary access initiatives, ensuring compliance with global and local policies and procedures.
• Medical Activity Development: Support the planning, implementation, and execution of medical activities, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS), observational studies, and other scientific initiatives in adherence to relevant guidelines and company SOPs.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to foster alignment and drive medical strategy.
• Internal Training and Support: Serve as a medical expert for internal training programs, providing scientific and medical insights to sales, marketing, and regulatory teams to enhance their effectiveness and ensure compliance.
• Conference and Meeting Participation: Attend and actively participate in national and international scientific conferences, symposiums, and meetings, contributing to the development of data summaries, presentations, and strategic insights.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A medical degree (MD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or a relevant life-science qualification from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on oncology medical affairs.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and the Saudi healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks, treatment protocols, and market dynamics.
• Skills: Exceptional scientific communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both external experts and internal stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Location Requirement: Due to Saudization policies, only Saudi nationals will be considered for this position.
