Role Overview

As a Sustainable Finance Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank’s commitment to sustainable finance by overseeing, facilitating, and ensuring the seamless execution of key projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing, controlling, and supporting initiatives that align with the bank’s strategic objectives while adhering to established processes and best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of sustainable finance projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes related to sustainable finance initiatives, streamlining workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, compliance, and business units, to ensure alignment and foster a cohesive approach to sustainable finance projects.
• Risk and Compliance Oversight: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with sustainable finance projects, ensuring adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on project progress, performance metrics, and sustainability impact, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Innovation and Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative sustainable finance strategies, leveraging market trends and emerging opportunities to enhance the bank’s portfolio.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior team members or colleagues on sustainable finance best practices, processes, and tools to build internal capacity and ensure consistent execution standards.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for sustainable finance. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in sustainable finance, project management, or a related discipline within the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainable investment principles, and regulatory requirements such as the EU Taxonomy or Green Bond Principles.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI or SASB.
• Certifications such as CFA, CPA, or specialized sustainable finance credentials (e.g., Certified ESG Professional) are a plus.
